AviForm Pic is a product based on the essential oils citronellol and geraniol. These oils are known for their effective repellent properties, keeping unwanted insects such as red mite and reducing stress in chickens.
Challenge
Unwanted intruders, such as insects, are a common challenge in poultry houses. They cause agitation among the birds, negatively affect their welfare and health, facilitate the spread of diseases, and result in significant economic losses.
Achieving insect control in poultry environments without the use of harmful chemicals requires a strategic, integrated solution. By applying natural and non-toxic methods, producers can maintain animal welfare and egg integrity while effectively managing pest populations.
Solution
AviForm Pic offers an environmentally friendly and safe solution. Its use of citronellol and geraniol effectively repels insects through scent, without promoting resistance. This contributes to a healthier living environment and improved welfare for poultry, ultimately supporting better animal health and enhanced production outcomes.
Dosage
In the drinking water:
Week 1: Add 150 ml/1000L drinking water for 12 hours for 5 days
Week 2: Add 150 ml/1000L drinking water for 12 hours for 4 days
Week 3: Add 150 ml/1000L drinking water for 12 hours for 3 days
Week 4: Add 75ml/1000L drinking water for 12 hours for 2 days
Spray application: Add 5 L AviForm Pic in 200 L water and spray onto the visible infested areas in the poultry house.
After 7 to 10 days, you may notice more red mites in the barn. This happens because the mites can no longer feed on the hens’ blood, so they become more visible in the environment. This is completely normal and actually a good sign — it means they are no longer on the birds. With continued spraying, the number of red mites in the barn will decrease significantly.
