RumiBloc lick buckets are a convenient solution for supplementing the nutritional needs of cattle in situations where adding supplements to feed is less practical, such as in the pasture or for specific groups of animals, such as dry cows or heifers.
These licks, made from molasses, are enriched with essential nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, trace elements, yeasts, essential oils, and herbs. Properties of magnesium
- Magnesium is an essential mineral for cattle. At low temperatures in spring and fall, grass contains less magnesium and calcium. Even when the grass contains a lot of moisture, cattle can develop a magnesium deficiency. The high water content of the grass accelerates digestion, leaving less time for the absorption of important minerals such as magnesium. Cows cannot store magnesium, which means they must obtain sufficient magnesium through their daily feed. A magnesium deficiency can lead to health problems such as grass sickness (head sickness or grass tetany), which can have serious consequences for the health and productivity of livestock.
